Edward Dickens
Edward has spent many years in theatre, both on the stage as an actor and singer, as well as behind-the-scenes as an assistant director, props manager, stage crew, front-of-house, and writer.
At Studio 10, Edward is our go-to researcher, thanks to his vast knowledge of local history, performing arts and Scottish culture, Edward assists the executive team in their day-to-day duties, and he even writes the Blog!
Edward has been involved in a diverse array of productions; from tours, operas, and high-energy musicals, to plays such as those by Shakespeare and Brecht, right up to contemporary Scots drama and comedy. Edward even starred in a Macallan Whisky TV commercial.
Some theatrical highlights include performing his two dream roles in the same year; Javert in Les Misérables and Sir Joseph in HMS Pinafore, performing at the Edinburgh Fringe for three consecutive years.
In his spare time Edward is often to be found picking out historical inaccuracies in modern films, and frequently complaining about his present lack of a potato patch.
