10 Tips to Up Your iPhone Photography Game

Are you tired of taking mediocre photos with your phone? Fear not, with these 10 tips, you can elevate your photography game and create stunning images that will have your Instagram followers DM’ing you to ask who your photographer is…

  1. Clean Your Lens: This may seem like a no-brainer, but you would be surprised how often a dirty lens can ruin a good shot.

  2. Use Natural Light: Whenever possible, use natural light to illuminate your subject. Avoid using the flash as it can create harsh shadows and unflattering lighting.

  3. Rule of Thirds: Use the rule of thirds to compose your shots. Imagine your screen is divided into a grid of nine equal parts, and place your subject on one of the intersecting lines.

  4. Try Different Angles: Experiment with different angles to add interest to your photos. Get down low, shoot from above, or try a unique perspective.

  5. Use Portrait Mode: If you have an iPhone with portrait mode, use it to create professional-looking portraits with a blurred background.

  6. Edit Your Photos: Don't be afraid to edit your photos. Use the built-in editing tools or download a photo editing app to enhance your images.

  7. Use Burst Mode: When capturing action shots, use burst mode to take multiple photos in quick succession. This will increase your chances of getting the perfect shot.

  8. Focus and Exposure: Tap the screen to adjust the focus and exposure of your shot. This will ensure that your subject is in focus and properly exposed.

  9. Use Gridlines: Turn on the gridlines in your camera settings to help with composition and alignment.

  10. Practice, Practice, Practice: The more you practice, the better your photos will become. Don't be discouraged if your first attempts aren't perfect. Keep shooting and experimenting.

Remember, it's not about the camera you use but how you use it. Even with just an iPhone (or Android, if you’re one of those people…) you can create stunning images with the right techniques.
